Carlos has a bachelor’s degree in Hispanic Studies from the Pontificia Universidad Católica of PR, with a minor in Foreign Languages. He was a Spanish and French high school teacher for four years, and a research and writing tutor at the UPR Río Piedras campus, where he’s currently finishing his MA in Linguistics, focusing on sociolinguistics and acceptability. He has been awarded for his poetry by El Nuevo Día and Puerto Rico’s PEN Club.
